Imre Steindl (1839-1902) was an architect, a professor. He is an eclectic artist, in the beginning he turned to the Renaissance, then the Gothic style. The building of the University of Sciences in Múzeum circle in Renascence style, and the Parliament's building in Gothic revival Style were constructed on the bases of his plans, and he designed the Hungarian Royal Veterinary College's pavilion block system as well, in Italian renascence style. The Institute in the time of its opening (1881) consisted of seven buildings richly decorated with majolica, was an awe - inspiring sight in the English garden abundantly planted with trees. The bronzed bust of plaster cast could be seen in the teachers' room of Department for Pathology in the 1970 years. (MMJ)
