János Köves (1882-1977) professor of veterinary science, director and founder (1912-1948), then technical manager (1948-1952) of the Phylaxia Vaccine Producing Co. (1912-1948), president of the Hungarian National Veterinary Association (1924-1941), initiator of veterinary vaccine production to Hungary.
The painting on the wall of the director general of the Phylaxia Pharma Co. shows the elderly János Köves sitting in an armchair. In the early 1970 years the managing director of Phylaxia, József Molnár, had the painting made by Miklós Bánovszky. (MMJ)
