János Mócsy (1895-1976), veterinary doctor, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Kossuth-prize winner, state-prize winner, professor of internal medicine from 1935 to 1961, internationally ackowledged scientist of veterinary science.
On the 29th of November, 1985, the 90th anniversary of the birth of professor Mócsy, Ferenc Kovács professor, rector unveiled a marble memorial tablet hanging on the wall of the secondary school for medical nurses established in the place of Marek's birthplace. The inscription on the tablet is the following (in Hungarian): János Mócsy DVM (1895-1976) born in this house was a prominent scientist of Hungarian veterinary medicine / Council of Kalocsa. (MMJ)
